Surfing and bodyboarding:
With our waves, Matapalo is a paradise for surfers and bodyboarders. Thanks to the absence of rocks and reliable swells, you can experience the thrilling feeling of riding a wave here. You can hire surfboards in the village or take part in a surf course to make the most of this euphoric experience.
Turtle breeding station:
Matapalo is home to a turtle hatchery where native sea turtles are hatched and released during the nesting season. The dedicated local volunteers share fascinating information about these endangered animals. The experience of watching newly hatched hatchlings start their lives is unforgettable.
